I started photography as a hobby 4 years ago. An interest that turned into passion. I can still remember my childhood when I used to graze over encyclopedias and adore photographs of animals, famous people and landscapes. It was a treat for me. It was traveling through time and reaching far away places.

Because of my love of travel and nature photography, I bought my first digital camera to document my vacation in Asia. People started noticing my work, they said I have the eye to capture moments and landscapes. I never really paid attention about the comment. As years pass by and several digital cameras later, I became hungry for picture quality. I was always a minimalist, I want to use the least gadgetry to achieve maximum results. Eventually I bought my first DSLR and got hooked instantly! Back then I was a volunteer at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia and learning butterfly, insect macro photography and landscapes.

My eagerness to learn new things and advancing knowledge in photography led me to read portraiture. Then I stumbled upon George Eastman's quote. He said "Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography". The quote inspired me, It's the single most important force that drives me to further advance my craft. When I look at my subjects, I don't see faces I see light and emotions, I watch where it is coming from. My photography techniques revolve around lighting. Capturing every moment using light and shadows.
