I am a creative, weave and print designer with a great passion for fabric innovation and durable fashion design. To me, designing textiles is the perfect way of combining beauty and purpose - two words that truly inspire me. The common thread between weave and print studies is the love of designing patterns. There is a delight in designing a product from an early stage as its core purpose can be materialised in the fine detail. Through studying the art of weaving, a solid understanding of fibres, materials and products (and the vast number of textural combinations they offer) has been developed. Alongside this, inspiration is taken out of careful observations of current surroundings and is embodied through photography, drawing, and illustrating.
