Passionate about the technical and artistic aspects of photography since childhood, Robert is the owner / Principal Photographer of Taylor Studios. Founded in 1984 and based in downtown Kingston, Ontario, Robert's studio has recently expanded to include an art gallery, showcasing area artists and photographers, as well as presenting his own creative work, which expresses his fascination for architecture, the artistic beauty in everyday objects and the human form as interpreted through his lens. Robert's work is shown in many corporate, public and personal spaces. Robert is a member of PPOC, PPA, WPPI and NAPP as well as an active member in the Kingston Chamber of Commerce. Taylor Studios received the Small Business of the Year Award in 2007 and continues to expand their state of the art studio with new and innovative products and ideas.

Robert's studio offers personal portraits, commercial assignments, and is the Official Graduate Portrait photographer for Queen's University. He mentors new photographers through photography workshops and camps. Robert also takes great delight in museum meditation, both Canadian and abroad, and is a gourmet cook and wine connoisseur when entertaining or just winding down in his self-designed kitchen.
