About Me

My name is Ariel Shanice Dowdy, born in Chicago, IL; and a full time student at Alabama A&M University with aspirations that are larger than life. I am an Engineering Technology major and pursuing a career in modeling. I have always been interested in varies activities, such as bowling, art, dance; however modeling and fashion have always been my passion. While attending AAMU I’ve become highly involved in the campus modeling group, Ward Modeling Troop. This is where I perfected my craft, finally allowing me to explore this world of fashion. Being a part of this organization not only bestowed me the opportunity to grasp my dreams, but participate in fashion shows, photo shoots, and walk –offs. When the cameras are rolling and lights flashing, I feel free, like another me. I love the feeling of becoming someone else for the moment and look back only to realize it was me all along. The love of the lights, the cameras and the rush within makes all my hard work worth wild.
