Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Yomibel Diaz, or YomiTank as he’s known today, moved to New York at the tender age of 8. Here he was exposed to the beauty of the city, something he could only but capture with his mind until he was introduced to the art of photography at Cardinal Hayes High School. Having fallen in love with art since he was 10, YomiTank has learned to use a camera to expand his knowledge of perspective and color, creating his own company called YomiTank Photography. He has taken his art to the highest capacity by adding his own unique style to photos, making him a favorite among various venues in New York, including Tonic West, Aloft Hotel and Serenity. Photography minor by day and night club photographer by night, YomiTank is nothing short of ambitious as he works his way toward a future in photojournalism.
