About Me

Living Canvas Body Paint is a husband/wife team: Bill is the lead painter, Amber is the photographer MM131459 and a painter as well (and occasionally she's a model: MM131474).

Our work is more than just "painting boobies" -- We first create a giant background canvas, which takes anywhere from several days to several weeks, depending on the piece. When the background is completed, we select a model and spend 4-10 hours painting her into it, then approx 30min shooting the piece. All of our gallery pieces are created on a nude model, and all live pieces are painted wearing bottoms and a bra-top (or 'pasties').

Our finished artwork is a collaboration between artist, model, and canvas: once fully painted, the model interprets the giant canvas as she becomes a part of the work of art, bringing a life to the piece which could not be achieved by painter, photographer, or model alone. We have painted at events at The Smithsonian Museums, the FIU Arena, private parties on mega-yachts, and 5 star luxury hotels.

The paints we use are all non-toxic body paints and makeups (think Diamond FX, Chameleon, MAC, Mehron, Makeup Forever, etc.), and generally wash off with just soap and water. Occasionally for live events, we blend the products with a silicone-based makeup, which gives the finished artwork an AMAZING durability that can be worn for HOURS and resists smudging or rubbing off. (When we use the silicone paints, a 'remover oil' is always provided in a take-home kit for the model.)

We are ALWAYS casting for outgoing, well-toned models for our gallery canvases: all heights, and ALL BUST SIZES. We especially love gymnasts, performance artists, and dancers of all genres.

Q. I want to model for a gallery canvas, but “I don’t do nudes”.

A. And we *want* you to model for a gallery canvas, but “we don’t do prudes”. The natural beauty of the human body is an integral part of our gallery canvases. (Yes, we *do* paint over tops and bottoms, but only for commissioned pieces and live events)
_____

Q. I’m 17 and I have my parent’s permission, can I model for one of your gallery canvases?

A. No, absolutely NOT. Our gallery canvases are painted on a NUDE body, and you MUST be 18+ (No exceptions – EVER)
_____

Q. I’m 17 and my parents want to hire you to paint the whole family into one of your pieces. Can I be painted?

A. First off: You’re parents are AWESOME and you’re going to have the best family Christmas cards EVER. Second: YES - for commissioned pieces, we will happily paint individuals under the age of 18. We require a quick wardrobe fitting before the session, so that we may pre-paint age-appropriate tops and bottoms for everyone under 18.
_____

Q. How much do you pay your models?

A. GALLERY PIECE = NOTHING. That’s right – $0.00! – Our rates start at $190 for a breast, $900 to paint a torso piece and $1600 to create our art on a full body. So, yeah… we think “FREE + 2 digital images” is a pretty sweet deal.

LIVE EVENT = $225 - $350 for a 12 hour day (8hrs painting, up to 4hrs
performing/interacting with guests) Live events are NON-NUDE, and models are selected for their professionalism, outgoing personalities, and positive attitudes.
