About Me

Hi! I’m a fashion stylist and image consultant in San Francisco, CA. I completed a two year course in Fashion Merchandising at City College of San Francisco, Spring 2012 earning a Certificate of Accomplishment in Fashion Styling. I would prefer to work on fashion editorial shoots as well as advertising gigs. However since earning my certificate I’ve primarily worked as an Image Consultant helping young computer technology execs put together a new professional look that is polished and sends a message that they are driven, self confident and ready for whatever challenges come their way. It has been fun to help the few clients I have since most are just graduating college and starting their careers in their first real job. I first have my client’s answer a set of questions that helps me determine their personal style based on their social activities, their goals, their lifestyle and of course their professional aspirations, role and position. After they complete the questionnaire I evaluate their answers using a standard formula that is pretty much spot on 90% of the time. I then sit down with them to discuss what they hope to get out of the relationship, what kind of budget they have to work with and based on this discussion we decide on a general plan on how we will reach these goals. Depending on these decisions I then create and schedule shopping trip(s) I escort the client on where I will show the client examples of what designer labels best fit their body type and personal style, while teaching them what colors look best with their skin tone, hair and eye color. During these shopping trips the client will try on things I’ve recommended and see for him or her-self how they fit and look. “When we look good we feel good”, it’s true, it is also a confidence booster and builder as well. In today’s competitive world of business it is extremely important to have a strong self image and to dress for success. After we’ve chosen and bought the basics of a good wardrobe I schedule shopping trips most focused on buying accessories and teach my clients how they can always be dressed appropriately for any occasion. I keep in touch with my previous clients by emailing them a monthly letter where I share tips and trends suggesting “must haves” and what to look for to keep the wardrobe they have started up to date.
I also assist and style editorial photos shoots which are always or generally based on a chosen theme or story that the client, model or stylist wants to tell. It always depends on who the designated beneficiary of the shoot is to be. Sometimes the shoot will be arranged by a modeling agency wanting to get new photo images of a new face they are considering or have on contract but need a specific look from. It is then my job to hunt down and find the wardrobe that will best give “us” the best result and closest result to the target look. I will go to department stores, specialty stores, costume shops, vintage and thrift stores to wherever I need to go to put together the best look I can. The most fun about doing editorial work is the fun one can have with props and accessories (depending on the client’s needs of course). Generally though I usually have a pretty free hand and permission to do whatever I think will be best. I always am in communication with the photographer as well to get his or her input and to make team decisions (depending on whether the photographer is calling the shots or not, sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t).
I always open for getting together with other aspiring stylist’s, model’s and photographer’s who want to collaborate and put together a shoot they can add to their portfolios. I’m open to any suggestions and or requests depending on my schedule at the time. Thanks for checking me out and good luck to us all!
