Joe was born 24 November 1940. For those who think such nonsense is important, this makes him either a Sagittarius or a Dragon, depending on your slant on things. Nancy was born in the sign of Gemini or a Horse.

Photography has been very much a part of Joe's working life both as an Anthropologist and a Ship's Officer. His photos have won many awards over the years and have appeared in a wide variety of publications. In spite of the fact that from an engineering standpoint it is a total disaster, he has always loved the human body. The curves, folds, skin tones and general structure are just fascinating. He is now doing almost nothing but nude or semi-nude figure studies, very much in the classical tradition.

Nancy worked as an historian in heritage preservation and photographed thousands of old buildings and researched their appearance over the years in hundreds of old photographs. Photographs were basically looked upon as records. After she retired, she became interested in photographing birds and flowers, which gradually expanded to include all nature and an interest in photos as art. She started doing figure studies in 2009 and about the same time became interested in digital art. Today much of her work involves figure studies and digital abstracts produced by photo manipulation. Her work has been displayed and sold in both Canada and the United States.

A complicating factor is that we are hyper-allergic to almost all perfumes and scents, so models have to agree to be scent free. We have had no problem finding potential models willing to take their clothes off but a great deal of trouble finding people willing to go to the hassle of being scent free.
