Geoffrey Doig-Marx (GDM) Director/Choreographer/Outsider Folk Artist moved to New York City in the mid 80’s where he started a career in dance/musical theatre. At age 15 he left home and spent his life in group homes and runaway shelters. In December of 2011 he returned to living in Harlem and married the love of his life. It was at this time that he started painting and hasn’t looked back. He was invited to show his paintings at Arts on Division Street in May 2012.
