Finding a career that I love wasn't the easiest thing for me to accomplish. It took me 25 years to figure out what the hell I wanted to do in life. At age 19, I was scheduled for a job interview that changed my life forever. I applied for a customer service position at a company called Dermalogica Inc. I was referred by my cousin who works in the Accounting Department. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I knew nothing about skin care! Fortunate for me, I was hired as a CS agent for 5 years until I realized OK, its been fun but I can't be doing this forever. I saw an opportunity to transfer to the Education department within our company and that's what opened many doors for me. I knew about the corporate side of selling skin care products in Customer Service but I never knew about education and skin care therapists who uses our products in their treatment rooms! After a year I decided to go to school for Eshetics where I learned how to wax, give skin treatments and of course, the art of makeup. I worked during the day and went to school at night. I had no social life for 8 long months but it was so worth it! I am now certified and ready to embark my newfound journey within this industry.
