The first time I picked up a camera, I knew I wanted to do something great with it. As a child, I played with my mothers Brownie camera, and as a teenager, I used a Polaroid. At that time, anything else beyond that was just a dream.
I got my first 35mm camera in Dec of 1984 and from that point on, I was hooked. I just loved the anticipation of sending the film off for developing, and waiting for t
he results, and always being thrilled.
I moved forward from taking hobby shots in 1987, when I took some courses at a local college, upgraded my 35mm camera, bought a medium format camera, studio equipment, and started doing weddings and sports teams.
For a period of time I lived out west and did a lot of nature and landscape, before I moved back to Ontario and started working with models and musicians.
I am Paris Black’s personal photographer. We have done a lot of AMAZING work together over the past 4+ years with many more projects in the planning.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to photograph the late great Kenny MacLean.
I am also the official photographer for Global Entertainment Magazine and any photos I take of musicians, if they are featured in the magazine, my photos of them will be published.
Someone recently asked me what I like to photograph the most, and I replied: If it provokes an emotional response in me, then it is what I want to photograph!
