Hi and Welcome! I am Jay, owner of Geechee Photography.

I am a graduate from Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts in Washington, D.C.

I do what I do because I love to catch the moment when the spirit arrives and the world disappears. I've achieved my purpose when a piece of my art magnifies itself into how people see themselves or how they feel in that moment. The patterns I see in my work are intense emotion, love and playfulness. When I work with children I am reminded that anything goes. When working with adults I am aware of the energy they bring to the photo shoot and pay attention to what their eyes and bodies are conveying. This is what makes the picture their very own piece of art. When my work is going well, I am filled with joy. When subjects see my work, I would like them to feel that same sense of joy and self-love. I am in love with photography because it takes me places in my heart where only my subject dwells.
