Dezmond’s interest in hair was a result of growing up in a home with his mom, two sisters and surrounded by a lot of cousins who were his first clients. He attended Marinello School of Beauty and became a licensed cosmetologist in 1997.
Dez talent has been featured at many top LA fashion shows, fantasy hair competitions and he even won an award at the infamous Bonner Brothers Hair Show.
With experience, passion and desire to be one of the best has opened many doors in the entertainment industry. He was an Asst. Hair Stylist for the “Traci Townsend” movie, 2nd Hair Stylist for the movie, “The Hustle”. Dezmond specializes in many hairweaving techniques and in 1998, his talents were recognized and he was referred to style megastar Whitney Houston for her LA tour! In 2008, Dez even assisted on the styling of pop star Lady Gaga for the hit video, “Poker Face”.
Dez has worked exclusively for Urban Film Director Deon Taylor and Actor Jamie Foxx on the trailer, “Tommy’s Little Girls!” starring Tommy Davidson, Selma Blair and some of the cast from the television series, Sopranos and an upcoming BET series, “Night Tales” and the just released Indie horror/thriller titled, “Chain Letter.”
Presently, Dez can be found working for Deon on his latest movie project titled, “Supremacy” starring Danny Glover, Lela Rochon, Dawn Olivieri and Evan Ross.
