I am a photographer.

My first degree is as a director and teacher of theater. I just love to direct, hence being a photographer is a natural follow up, in my opinion to my original skill set.
Why would I need to change my profession, then, if I love it so much, one might ask. Well!
There is the one thing I really find a disadvantage, in the stage arts. Namely that as a director all your vision, passion, instructions are nice and well, but at the end of the day your behind the curtains biting your nails, praying to every god possible, that all you aspired and hoped for happens....
And that's really not me. I like to have the responsibility for the final product. And as a photographic director you have this. I do the final ' click' so if it @!#^-up, its on me.

My second degree is that of Photography at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam.

Theatrical fashion/editorial and lifestyle has my interest.

In my work beauty and pain go hand in hand. Mostly the emphasis is on beauty with an undertide of tension, pain, hopelessness.

I'm originally British, but located in the north of Holland.

Often I'm accused of creativity, and the models I work with usually seem delighted, yet slightly fearful of what I will come up with next. I love to bring a story to my work. I dont just shoot pretty faces and fabrics.
I do studio and location shoots, i don't prefer either, I go where the idea can be best realised.
Always looking for new models and stylists and makeup artists to work with.
