I am a full time professional photographer and photography tutor based at Fotofilia, a photography studio/gallery/training complex in Birmingham's creative Jewellery Quarter.

I am the Director of Fotofilia Photography Ltd, and have been taking pictures on a professional or semi-professional level for over 20 years. I have taught photography at Birmingham Botanical Gardens (2007-2012), Midlands Arts Centre (2 years) and also taught NCFE Level 2 Photography at Stratford-upon-Avon College. In addition, I run a comprehensive range of courses and workshops at Fotofilia plus 2 large photographic clubs.

I have a BA(Hons) Photography First Class, MA Fine Art, and was previously a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.

My work has been widely exhibited and I have appeared on television and various radio stations to discuss my projects.

I am interested in all aspects of photography, from alternative/historic photographic processes like cyanotypes and gum bichromate, through to traditional silver-based darkroom practices, and iphoneography (I am one of the administrators of the official Birmingham Instagram Group).

Having my own professional studio (which is also available to hire) means that I am always able to experiment with new ideas and I am always looking for new exciting models to work with.
