"Love of Beauty is Taste |Creation of Beauty is Art"


My name is Alex and I've been a freelance makeup artist for over 5 years. With experience in (but not limited to) glamour and fitness photography, my focus has always been to display a model's genuine beauty. In my opinion, makeup was not made to cover up and re-construct ones face, it is merely a highlighter, used only to accentuate an already existing essence of beauty and confidence. I believe this pre-existing beauty lives in all of us, and my passion lives in seeing my model's face when I've exposed their most notable features as I myself see them. This is not to say that my work is limited to that of glamour photography and all things "pretty". There is something to be said for the kind of beauty that emanates from an unedited, poorly lit, real - life image. Everyone has seen that photograph that forces them to stare blankly, in an effort to justify to themselves what they find so captivating about what one would normally consider an abolishment. Those perfectly imperfect moments captured at all the wrong angles creating nothing short of a work of art. Comparable to an abstract painting, each flaw seems so strategically placed that the final product radiates in such a way that no level of attention to detail or effort for perfection could ever attain.

The moral of my story is that beauty is everywhere and I seek pleasure in preserving that beauty in the ugly world that we live in today.
