Born & raised in Harlem, NYC, Ceejaye E. Iman grew up around art, culture, and diversity... its as if being a artist was in her DNA. Her love for makeup and skincare began as a young teen, when her grandmother and mother used to buy and sell Avon & Mary Kay products, as well as browse the makeup counters at several department stores. At the age of 16, family, friends, and counterparts confirmed her drive for all things makeup, when they purchased her 1st makeup kit. She was not allowed to wear her makeup to school, but still practiced at home on a regular basis until her parents allowed her to wear makeup publicly. After graduating from High School in 2003 & attending College, Ceejaye moved to Chicago, enrolled in Empire Beauty's cosmetology program, and has not looked back since.

Ceejaye has been freelancing for 10 years, working with the likes of professional photographers, brides, male/female models, and Chicago's local musical talent. Her work has been published in online magazines, printed media, and even on MTV Hive. She is the lead brand ambassador for Henri' Mitchelle Cosmetics brand, and works with Henri closely. In addition, she has also worked with several Non Profit organizations, including the Chicago AIDS foundation, and the Center on Halsted for Chicago's urban LGBT youth, offering her services and working with those who otherwise would never be able to afford the chance to be "made over" due to their particular circumstances. When asked about her work, she simply states- "I believe that a true MUA's work should not be wrapped up in the money that he or she makes, nor the amount of celebrity clientele that they may gain in their career, it should be focused on how the person FEELS when they get up from your session."

Her high profile clientele includes Actress Laverne Cox, Rap Star SHOWYOUSUCK, and Plus model Lauren Velouvou. She has also been a RAW artist, being featured/lead artist for a high end gown designer.

At the moment, Ceejaye is actively working as a Sephora makeup artist, and booking clients nationwide, but is concentrating on the Austin & surrounding suburban area.
