I am building my way to make it in entertainment and fashion, touching millions, creating change & inspiring others' dreams to reality!

My name is Maria~del~Mar, but most call me "Maria" or "Marimar" or "del~Mar" :) I am an upcoming entertainer and model with a passion for beauty and performance. I was born in Maryland and raised in The Netherlands, and around the U.S. Something that is a little extra interesting is that my family is a big cultural mosaic from America, The Caribbean, Europe and The Meditteranean. I have been modeling as an amertuer since age 15 when I completed my training at Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. I was selected as "Runway model"of the year for my Barbizon class and fell in love with modeling and beauty exhibitions ever since. I've also used my music and dance talents performing at the the Kennedy Center, Disney World, Constitution Hall, The MCI Center, The National Catherdral, The Washington Convention Center, The Pulse On Tour and more. I am currently working as a professional dancer and instructor at Dance With Me Studios owned by Dancing With The Stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Tony Dovolani.

I consider my style to be animated, sexy, action-based and edgy. I love to act in my photoshoots so that each shoot has a piece of a story with in it. I put to practice speaking to the camera with not just my body but really my eyes. The eyes are the windows to the soul and one of women's most powerful assets. I hope to network and find work that will provide me with more commercial, print and TV experience so that I can progress to modeling professionally.
