I have been shooting since 2012 and focus mainly on portraiture. I have an extensive background in ballet and primarily like working with dancers (and by dancers, I do mean classically trained)--for the creativity and collaboration they bring, and the natural sense of line they already uniquely have. It isn't a rule for me as I do work with many non-dancers! I'm happy to work with anyone that takes direction well and is okay with taking a little longer to set up a shot.

As a former ballet dancer, most of my images are about telling a story, invoking mood and atmosphere and nuance, and creating images that seek to haunt, inspire, and fascinate. I don't do much in the plain photography department. Glossy, perfect photos depress me as do glossy, perfect people.
