I am a graduate in mathematics and scientific computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, though in the process I have forgotten why I wanted it in the first place.
Born to a close-knit mountainous community in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas, I have been brought up in an environment that appreciated the beautiful, the strong, and the hardworking. I have trekked almost all of Uttarakhand(yeah! really), explored cultures on my way that have left imprints too indelible, met people with stories worthy a Nobel in literature, and seen happiness in misery stemming out of nonchalance to life’s harshness. It is such stories I want to paint through my lens. I am hungry for professional insights on photography, eventually want to plunge into travel and portrait photography (which is a brilliant medium for social change as well) full-time.
