About Me

Hello there.

For me, being an artist is a love/hate relationship; the ability to create art being the love portion. As a photographer, we're not so much creating beauty as we are capturing the beauty already available; the creation is in the careful and meticulous manipulation of those elements within the frame. You're the major element in the scene; I'm just attempting to capture as much of that beauty as possible in a single moment. The hate portion of that statement comes from the constant feeling of frustration that envelops me.. the feeling that I should be doing something greater; something more. That feeling pushes us creatives to succeed and create with an almost overwhelmingly nagging presence. Truly great artists are never finished with a piece of work.

I've always had a need for a creative outlet to alleviate that pressure. This drove my decision to follow my passion into a career, and I became a visual effects artist working in feature films. Often times, however, when you are working for others, your creativity gets stunted.

This is why I am here.

A couple of years back I met some people who urged me to develop my "eye" and get into photography. I picked up that dusty, unused camera and have been shooting ever since.

I have a few key goals that I'm on my way to achieving. I've just recently switched over from the furry mammals of the Zoo, to photographing people, and I love it. My long term goal is to merge my career and this hobby and create amazing images with CGI elements seamlessly integrated with beautiful models.

I want to create believable dreamworlds using a mixture of photography and the character a model brings to those photos, as well as the surreal or otherwise impossible elements that I can add digitally. I'd say that this is a fine art glamour/fantasy photographic journey, but I welcome any and all photo shoots that allow us both to grow as artists.

Shoot me a friend request if you'd be interested in doing a shoot, as I will do the same. I look forward to working with you. :)
