My name is Yema S., and I am a Plus Size Model.

It actually feels weird to say that seeing that it has always been a dream of mine, and I'm actually taking the steps to make it happen. 

Why now? Well, lets just say the "late 20's syndrome" is real, and it hit me hard! I began to challenge myself, and push the limits on everything I ever wanted to accomplish in life.  It's either ALL or NOTHING, and right about now, I'm going to give this thing called LIFE every ounce of me.  

I want to be a everlasting reflection for little girls who always felt judged, outcasted, or invisible to the world based on their size. According to an article I read on Refinery.com, "As of 2012, it is estimated that 67% of American women are plus-size — size 14 or larger. The CDC currently reports the average American woman’s measurements equate to a size 14 (though other studies put her between a 16 and 18). Yet, plus-size women account for, on average, 1 to 2% of the bodies represented in mainstream media." After reading this, I realized that I was "the norm," that I was more than enough, and that I had the power to change the world, AS I AM!

 I EMBRACE being me, my growing personality, my ambition, and finally, my curves!
