I've always been a visual person starting back in high school where I chose to spend most of my lunch breaks in the school arts department, hidden away in the darkroom. I'd often return to afternoon classes with light sensitive eyes and a uniform stained with developing chemicals.

I have a qualified background in commercial photography, working with some of the elite award winning photographers in Sydney including Andreas Smetana (www.smetana.net/), Geoff Lung (http://www.geofflung.com/) and Petrina Hicks (http://www.petrinahicks.com/). My understanding of the photographic process has been paramount to launching into a career of retouching. I've now been working commercially in the industry for over 12 years. My belief is that retouching should compliment photographs, not remove their integrity. The best retouching shouldn't feel "retouched".

I have a passion for my trade and for the last 6 years have worked full time for international advertising agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and M&C Saatchi. I love finding new techniques to further my knowledge and also sharing information with fellow retouchers.

My skills include high-end retouching in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom/Capture One and color management. I specialise in fashion and product retouching but also love complex compositing work.
