Jaterah Alicia was born and raised in Elmont, New York. She is a graduate of Empire Beauty School’s Fashion and Glamour Makeup Program. She also received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology at St. John’s University in Queens, New York.
Since the age of three, Jaterah has been passionate about the performing arts. At Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts, she majored in dance and her main goal was not only to grow in her craft but also to entertain through the natural sync of her movement and emotions. Her love for the stage sparked her interest in makeup. Similar to her ability to transform the mood of her audience, she realized the beauty of makeup and its ability to transform the self-esteem of others. She hopes to share her joys and passions with women while boosting their confidence and self-esteem levels. She strives to encourage women to step out and shine, because that’s something we were all born to do. It is her hope that this site can help her continue to grow in her craft, while building her portfolio and networking with other ambitious artist. Currently Jaterah is a freelancing artist in the New York City and Nassau County areas. She is passionate, eager and ready to work.
