Deon began his journey with photography at a young age with his parent’s first digital camera. He continued his education in arts during high school and graduated in the International Baccalaureate Higher Level Fine Arts program, focused in analogue photography. With his developed portfolio, friends and family members began to hire Deon for newborn photos, family portraits, engagements and weddings. However, he quickly realized he was better suited for a field of photography that is driven by creativity.

The fashion industry first caught his interest in his first year at Queen’s University when he was accepted to be a photographer for the Vogue Charity Fashion Show. His Experience with VCFS launched his career and has led to several individual modeling projects and the opportunity to work with Ford Modeling Agency and SOHO Models. Deon has worked in Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Hamilton, Hawaii, Vancouver, and Montreal. Deon thrives on pushing the boundaries with his models and takes them on a wild trip through his mind with each photo shoot. By making the art of the project the first priority, Deon gives his models a taste of the passion and dedication of the fashion industry. It is his ambition to combine fine art photography and fashion photography with the use of illusion, perspective, imagination and natural aesthetics in his upcoming editorials.
