MODELS: Serious inquiries only, please! You are on MM to promote yourself and to land a modeling gig. If you agree to a shoot, please follow through, or at the very least, make an honest attempt to reschedule. DO NOT simply ignore messages, emails, or calls and abruptly cease communication with the studio. Urban Coast is an active studio and requires clients who are serious about their work and responsible enough to arrive on-time to their scheduled sessions.

*Intro:

Urban Coast has primarily been a studio focusing on stock, HDR, landscapes, and similar styles of photography, but recently I have made it a point to shoot more on-location portraits to grow my portfolio and make it more diverse.

*Services:

Currently, Urban Coast Photography has a variety of opportunities for clients looking to model, both for prints and possible financial compensation. We are continually looking for high school seniors to provide yearbook and senior photo services for. Clients who are simply wishing to model for prints to expand their portfolio will love working with us, because we offer a no-pressure, casual, and structured modeling experience solely for the purpose of obtaining great images for both the model and the studio!

Urban Coast does not have a "rejection" process for individuals who are interested in modeling for us. Everyone is encouraged to submit a model application, and it will remain on file for up to one year, unless renewed after that point. During the one year period, it will periodically be reviewed in order to (hopefully) match the interested client with an upcoming photo shoot project. While we cannot guarantee that all applications will be selected for a project, there are several opportunities to be selected, and the chances are quite reasonable regardless of body image/type and other factors.

*Rates and Compensation:

Generally, models will be compensated with prints only. There are exceptions to this, of course. If a model's experience and other factors make it worthwhile to compensate financially, it will be arranged prior to conducting the shoot. If you have little or no experience as a model, please do not expect financial compensation. Lastly, clients who accept an offer to become "resident" models will be compensated financially for all shoots, with the exact amount to be determined in-person and stated in the contract.

*Additional important information:

1. At Urban Coast, attitude is more important than personal appearance. To be considered as a model for any of our shoots, you must have a positive attitude and be an easy individual to work with on-location.

2. Your profile on Model Mayhem is KEY! Ensure you are using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your Bio and other areas. It may sound minor now, but how a person presents themselves through typed words says a lot about who they are in-person. Present yourself professionally on MM, and I will be more willing to offer you a shoot!

3. Escorts are permitted on a case-by-case basis only. Why? Generally, when an escort is present, the model will not give 100% attention to the photographer or to achieve the correct posing form. In addition, escorts tend to offer unwanted critiques and advice, negatively affecting the tempo and shooting environment. If you want the best images possible, do not invite an escort.
