Hello! My name is Kenny Buenavida and I've been shooting for years. I love meeting new people and aim to develop my style as a photographer.

Over the years, I’ve found the best photos are often those which are unplanned and spontaneous. Premeditated shots tend to miss the intricate nuances found in candid photography--excluding portraits. For example, at events and celebrations one can find the best moments happening where people are “doing” things; moments in which they are in flow— lost and enthralled. As an artist and connoisseur of psychology, I often consider social factors such as the reactivity effect—people tend to change their behavior around a camera because they want to look their best (I don’t blame them!). The result is a contrived shot. What to do? As a photographer I work behind the scenes and become inconspicuous (shh)— that way I capture moments in which people are who they really ARE. That is how I define my style of photography—honest, authentic, RAW, and creatively revealing. I specialize in candid photography which highlight my portraits. I have recently been committing to "street" photography and B&W photography. Octogenarians and old souls fascinate me as well. I don't usually ask for permission...I shoot and move.
