Julia Mironova is a freelance makeup artist with extensive experience in film, TV, print and commercials. Her career began in Moscow 12 years ago when she was hired as an assistant to a top Russian celebrity. Since then she has worked with many well-known performers, learning the tricks of the trade in a way that only hands-on experience and dedication can bring. Julia's career with top film studios in Moscow has taken her around the world, to such locations as Urzazat - the place where Cleopatra and The Mummy were filmed - and Thailand.
As a committed professional, Julia has stayed on the cutting edge of makeup technology with classes in airbrushing, men's grooming corrective makeup, and makeup for HD. She recently completed a course at Cinema Makeup Schools in Los Angeles, with a focus on advanced techniques for special effects makeup. Julia works with an eye toward perfection, and has built her reputation on her ability to bring out astonishing beauty in her subjects, and / or to create realistic special effects that challenge the imagination and hold true even in high definition. When not at work, she enjoys mentoring other artists and teaching makeup application to non-celebrity women. She brings a creative insight, a loving spirit, and a consummate professionalism to each project she undertakes.
