I've been an amateur photographer for about 10 years.  By amateur, I mean that I don't make my living doing this.  I do have a deep technical knowledge of photography though.  In the past, I've shot mainly landscapes,  slide film - as well as portraits - medium format and 35mm. 

I tend to shoot more portraits now.  Digital is just too easy, but it is horrible for landscapes. 

As for portraits:  These days, I shoot digital SLRs like everyone else.  I still use B&W and slide film as time allows (they still look better), but time rarely allows.

I travel every week, though I try not to lug too much photo equipment around.
