I am a painter and sculptor, classically trained, looking for both clothed and nude models. I paint landscapes, still life, portraits and figures, sometimes all in the same painting. My finished paintings have a classical realist look with a modern twist. I make my own paints and other materials following centuries old recipes. I often use gold, platinum and precious gemstones in my paintings. I teach at The Fine Arts League of the Carolinas in Asheville, NC. We Draw and paint from the clothed and nude models daily.

I am looking for both male and female models of all sizes and shapes. I paint, draw and sculpt figures from the live model. I occasionally utilize photography as a reference for planning a work, but never publish or display any photographs or include them in the finished work. I need various model types to pose for characters in my paintings. This work may involve the model being fitted for costumes and wearing special make-up or hair styles. I pay by the hour, by the job, or by the day, as seems best for both myself, the job and the model's best interest.

My work starts with an idea that gets developed through a series of sketches. Once the basic painting or sculpture is planned out, I start looking for the right model(s). Once a model is found, I may require a pose planning session, then 4-12 two hour painting sessions to complete that portion of the painting. I especially appreciate a model that understands the role I am asking them to play as they pose for the painting. A model who, "gets into character," brings great energy to the session and the final painting.
