About Me

I'm almost always willing to do TF shoots.  I don't really see MM as a marketing tool as much as a collaboration zone.  Great ideas and all that...

In spite of the somewhat quiet look to many of my samples here, I'm open to new ideas.  I'm inspired by artists like JW Waterhouse.  I tend to be laid back and models generally warm up to me pretty quickly.  I'm a willing listener to your ideas.  I'm looking to add edgier stuff, as well as some tasteful intimate images to my port.

If you require a make-up artist, please arrange that on your own and bring him or her.  If you're able to apply your own make-up in everyday life, you're amply qualified for my shoot. smile

Some caveats:
I'm a bit of a JD Salinger and don't like crowds--please let me know in advance if you're escorted. Rule of thumb:  If either of us will be distracted, they shouldn't be there.
I shoot film, though sometimes I will use a phone as a light meter of sorts.  You will hear a shutter snap. wink
I'm collaborative and will ask you for ideas, as well as providing some of my own.
Sense of humor is helpful.
My photography style tends to be photojournalistic.  Yes, you'll be looking at the camera a lot, but I don't always tell you before I capture you.
I'm a relaxing person to be around.  Let's make art.

****Quotes****
"I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term—meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching—there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster."--Ansel Adams

"But there is more to a fine photograph than information. We are also seeking to present an image that arouses the curiosity of the viewer or that, best of all, provokes the viewer to think--to ask a question or simply to gaze in thoughtful wonder. We know that photographs inform people. We also know that photographs move people. The photograph that does both is the one we want to see and make. It is the kind of picture that makes you want to pick up your own camera again and go to work" - Sam Abell
