My name is Bethany Sigman. I am a size twenty-two, but I feel discouraged by the fact that so many of the women portrayed in media today are unrealistically skinny and submissive in appearance. I feel to be a model is also to be a role model, so if I were to be a plus sized model, I feel that I could help encourage woman and girls to be comfortable with their weight and who they are, and no longer feel that they'll be happy when they "lose those twenty + more pounds", and also to encourage clothing stores that larger women want to dress beautifully and fashionably too. I'm sure I speak for many girls my size when I say I'm tired of dressing in either soley t-shirts and jeans and grandmother-esque clothing!

Style wise I'm particular fond of the elegant goth look, particularly gothic victorian. I find the dark beauty very alluring and underappreciated, sadly due to the poor portrayal of many who dress in the style. I hope that one day I can help show the elegance and beauty of the style without it seeming over the top to the general public.
