About Me

I’m an artist based in Long Beach, California. I received a BFA in Fibers from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2005.

I make my own fabrics with a knitting machine and use Shibori, a traditional Japanese dyeing technique. By combining these methods, I have created the line, Ariel.

The collection includes scarves, large wraps, dresses and tops. Each piece has been hand knit, bound, dyed, and crocheted. Making my own fabric gives me full control over the form, and Shibori affords a level of uncertainty that combines with the artistry. The result is a completely unique work of art.
