What began as a love for plush cashmere and the texture of wool tweed has become a lust for fine leathers, exotic feathers, semi precious stones and pendants from the world around. It was at the age of six, that J’Cil was first introduced to fine silks, intriguing Hounds Tooth, Italian leathers and plush furs by her grandmother Evelyn White. It would be her early introduction to luxury goods that would foster a love for the unique and beautiful. This infatuation with fashion would propel her into a world of sketching and draping as a teen. Upon reaching high school, J’Cil would develop an interest in avenues of the fashion industry such as personal styling and image consulting. Upon graduation she would reunite with her first love, design. As a young designer, J’Cil would begin studies at Houston Community College to perfect her natural talent for design going on to graduate with honors receiving a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Management from The Art Institute of Houston.
