My name is Jun Tang and I tell your stories in pictures. I wish I could say that I knew at an early age what I wanted to do when I grew up but the story began a little differently.

I was born and raised from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My mom was a stay-at-home mom and because she was constantly home, she would rent 40-50 VHS tapes at one time and watch all kinds of different Hong Kong TV series. I would watch them with her and was influenced at an early age, but never knew I wanted to become a visual storyteller.

Years later, I was working as a researcher at the Medical College of Wisconsin and we were searching for a heroin addiction treatment. I had to perform surgery on rodents. One day while performing surgery, I asked myself if I could see myself doing this for the next 10 years and I couldn’t. I did some soul searching and realized that the time was now or never to follow my passion and dreams. I knew photography was my calling and bought my first camera.

It’s my goal to be the photographer people go to when it’s a challenging creative projects. While I can photograph almost anything, I am passionate about weddings and creative portraits. These two categories allow me to tell my client’s stories through images.
