About Me

I am a videographer from Nottingham, looking for good talent to develop dramatic films. I am friendly, believe it or not. Feel free to message me about work or anything, I'll usually have something needing someone!

OFFICIAL ABOUT ME
"Joanna Driver is a Suffolk born photographer, currently residing in Nottingham, of whom first became interested in photography when she was given her first film SLR at fourteen years old. From there she started to shoot constantly the world around her, focusing solely in analogue film she started to expand her interests in photography. When Joanna finished High School she attended Northgate Sixth form to complete her A-Levels, which included an A Level in Photography.

There she developed her skills in the darkroom, producing among her work a varied amount of both camera and cameraless work; both further into film and then some digital. During this time she also participated in competitions and exhibited twice because of them, one in Suffolk University, and then in Ipswich Art Gallery. Throughout the two years of A-Level, she produced works which mimicked those of the great works of the Renaissance, such as Da Vinci, and gathered her inspiration for her portraits from people such as Silent Hill art director Mashahiro Ito and Diane Arbus. Joanna’s final year of photography found her selling her first piece of artwork to the Ipswich Hospital Mental Health Ward, which to this day is still hanging.

Her hard work pushed her forward to achieve a high grade at A-level, and therefore gained her place at Nottingham Trent University to study a BA Honors in Photography of which she still attends.

Over the years Joanna’s work has evolved, from the portraits of her early A-level work right up to how she works nowadays within the art of videography. Joanna has moved forward in her practice to go into the moving image; a common theme throughout them has become the issue of narrativity, of how to tell a story to the viewer. "
