About Me

My name is Michelle Nichols and I am a fine art photographer.

I do fine art portraits and personal works of my own. My art predominantly focuses on the human form and it's relationship with nature, both physically and spiritually.

Transcending the obvious, I hope to engage viewers in not only the concept of beauty, but in the miracle and power of being.

Greatly inspired by the works of the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood, I am fond of using the female form to illustrate themes, placing her within the natural environment, where we are most at home. The body is an extremely powerful tool within art, and I use it to translate emotion in to something tangible.

I use a painterly editing style to help set my subjects in other worldly environments, softening reality in to somewhere far away.

I am on the look out for models in and around the Brighton area who would like to be involved in portrait shoots. Shoots would involve models in pretty ethereal dresses, flowers in their hair, on the beach/in woods etc. Anyone with a horse is a bonus!..
