Born in Bogota. Colombia. From age 21 to 22 decided to travel to America, where he remained nine months. Traveling from New York and Texas where some of their culture assimilated and understood that his goal was to Europe, from 22 to 26 years old which seek its roots in Galicia, the land of his father and Croatia, the land of his maternal grandfather. At the invitation of a friend started their experience in northwestern Germany where German study, work for another eight months. then decided to change the environment in Spain who traveled from north to south enjoying learning photography museums and empirically, that experience is a big part of their stylistic preferences. Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Malaga and even more left their mark on Jose Luis. This last Picasso's hometown, where he lived for 2 years and enjoy the rich collections of contemporary art and architecture that the city has. The last 2 years experience in Europe opened the gates of London where he began as an apprentice photographer . From whom he learned professional analog and digital photography, even in its infancy. That encounter with the magic of the ultimate camera mind changed his life, removing the last doubt as to his profession and became trapped by mixing art technology and offers the digital media.
After many doubts and problems decided to return to Colombia where he studied with renowned photographers such as Alex Mezzanga Italian. Correspondent in Afghanistan, Colombia, USA, among others. In the United States has participated in workshops with Joe McNally, Jodi Cobb, who work for National Geographic for more than 22 years.and Greg Heisler for Time Magazine.
