I am a fashion designer from New York City. When I lived in the city, I became disillusioned with the "code" of streetwear - all black and denim everywhere I looked, almost as if it were the NYC uniform. As my form of rebellion, and to express my inner spirit, I created HiLite, a brand that represents COLOR, specifically bold, bright colors in funky, flirty prints and styles. I soon left NYC and relocated to Miami Beach, where I felt my palate was more appropriate to the lifestyle. There I added swimwear to my line of leggings, tops, party dresses and skirts. After 5 years of successful fashion designs, shows, and sales in Miami, I have moved to San Juan, where I also incorporate native "gitana" fabrics and styles.
