New York based photographer Krys Fox was raised in Southern California. He received his first camera, a Polaroid, at the age of ten and immediately began shooting anything and everything around him.

Photographs were used as a sort of diary to document many moves and transitions in life and to express himself in ways poetry or performance didn't seem to capture. Spurred by urging of friends and subjects, these private photos started to get attention. His subjects range from portraits of people to those of animals and nature. Existing somewhere between surrealist and documentarian, Fox's images attempt to find the heart and the soul of their subjects by stripping pretense and assumption, leaving the bare, naked spirit in tact in front of the lens.

His work has been displayed in numerous galleries (incl. Rick Castro's Antebellum Galllery, The Hive, The LGBT Centers of LA and SF, etc) in California and in the summer of 2010 he relocated to NYC.

His first exhibition of new works on the East Coast debuted in February of 2011 along with fellow artists: Scooter LaForge and Walt Cessna for The WOLFPACK! show at SPLATTERPOOL ART SPACE.
Also in 2011, Mr. Fox had his work published numerous times, including spreads in HEADMASTER MAGAZINE, NEXT MAGAZINE, SUMMER DIARY PROJECT MAGAZINE and a cover and story in London's PINK MINCE MAGAZINE. He has recently contributed shots for Reality Star, Jack Mackenroth's 2012 Calendar and actor Alan Cumming's website.

In 2012, he will have a series of shots published in a coffee table book entitled D.R.A.G. featuring shots he did with legend Joey Arias, a series of shots of model Melanie Gaydos in TRY STATE MAGAZINE, as well as an entry in the Annual POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE Galery Exhibition/Benefit for Visual AIDS. He will be showing new works at The WOLFPACK! UK Exhibition in Manchester, UK this August 2012

Currently, Krys Fox is planning/creating his first two books and his next exhibitions.
