Since she was a child, Joana Botelho used to do her friend's make-up and her own for plays and ballets. But it wasn't until she graduated from Advertising that she decided to pursue her old passion for make-up.
In 2011 she graduated from Liceu de Maquiagem with the Brazilian make-up artist Vanessa Rozan in São Paulo. She then moved to New York to attend Make-Up Designory, a school where she took classes from artists such as Sylvia Pichler, the Director of Product development for TEMPTU and the Emmy Award winner Alan Cutler.
Proficient in both traditional make-up and character development, Joana also has skills in airbrushing, special effects and hairstyling techniques. The Brazilian is now attending other courses to improve her skills and is also working as a freelance artist on events such as the New York Fashion Week and several other photo shoots.
