"I Don't Just Want To Be Known As A Fashion Designer...I Want To Be Known As An ICON"

SJL Collection is the epitome of style, substance, and femininity in women fashion. Who is the gentlemen behind SJL Collection? Fashion Designer and Seamster, Samuel J. Lake. Born on the caribbean island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. I was always inspired by art, movement and body. At the age of 13, I found a huge interest in the art of clothing and began designing and sketching clothing. To even further my creative techniques, I enrolled in sewing/clothes management class at age 14 for four years and was at the top of the class when it came to sewing, designing and pattern making. A passion for fashion has always been in my blood.

I would like to connect with other clothing designers, models, fashion show coordinators and photographer to help me further myself in this industry and to showcase my art for clothing.
