My name is Alex Ganczar and I am from Winnipeg, MB. I have recently re-located back to Vancouver, BC. Ever since I was young I knew It was my dream to be a make-up artist. In elementary school I would sneak my make-up 'kit' (basically whatever I could get my hands on!) to school; put it on and then wash away all the evidence before I went home so I wouldn't get in trouble.

I have focused my education on different elements of the beauty industry including graduating from the Hairstyling program at Winnipeg Technical College, and the Professional Make-Up Center in Vancouver. My diploma from Blanche MacDonald included becoming certified for TV and Film including Set Etiquette, WHIMIS training, and specific training in special effect make-up application.

Further to wanting to have a well rounded beauty background I completed the Nail Technician course in 2011 at Giselle's School of Aesthetics in Winnipeg; I have since completed my apprenticeship and received my license.

Keeping interest in new skills, it was my strong interest to take the 'Lash Love Exenstions' course at Nail Works in Winnipeg, MB. Summer of 2012. As I was a student in a 3 week course, working on models. I have furthered my skill with Lash Exenstions towards working on clients. I am now a Certified Lash Extension Specialist.

My work experience in the industry ranges from the Lancome and Estee Lauder counters in Vancouver to Fashion shows, Photo Shoots, Weddings and other special occasion make-up and hair, as well as lash extensions
Additionally, I enjoy the creativity of special effects make-up. From zombies, to broken bones, bruises etc..., I can do it all!

I have also had the pleasure of working on several independent short films shot locally in Winnipeg as well as some bigger budget TV and Films such as Less Than Kind, Make it Happen and The Haunting In Connecticut.

I am currently a Permittee with the Make-Up Department of I.A.T.S.E. Local 856.
I am currently 2nd Make-Up Assistant in the Make-Up department of ACFC Local West in Vancouver, BC.

As a young dancer, I started dancing at the age of 5.
I was in Highland Dance for 7 years. Jazz for 12 years, Modern for 6 years, Hip Hop 10 years.
As a young dancer, growing into a professional performer. Dancing is one of my true passions of my life.
I've performed in annuale dance recital in Winnipeg. Being on stage, I love the thrill of the perfomance.

I got the opportunity to perform in The River Dance. We won Gold for Nationals our 2nd time preforming it. It was one of the greatest experiances I went through as a young dancer.

I took up Hula, it became my hobbie for 3 summer sessions.
I took up Burlesque for monthly sessions. My experiance as a Burlesque dancer, was incredible. I have fallen in love this type of dance. The art, where Burlesque originated from.
