About Me

My name is Martha, I am from Nicaragua. My whole life I never felt beautiful because I felt that my skin color was holding me back. All the news, modeling, and advertisement in Nicaragua is dominated by white women. Indian women are considered inferior. I won a beauty pageant last year which opened my eyes to modeling. I was nervous to stand in front of everyone and was very surprised to win. Moving to the US changed my life because here I am not treated as inferior and all of a sudden women started telling me that I am beautiful and they envy my skin and hair.
I like cars, going shooting with my husband, dancing, and being the best wife I can be. I have a husband who loves me and believes in me. He gives me the confidence I need to peruse my dreams! I am currently studying to become a physician’s assistant and plan to use my education to give back to the thousands of homeless children in my country. I am a hard worker and a woman that is happy and proud of what I have been blessed with. A great husband, a close family, and good health.
