Sometimes I consider myself more to be a fine artist or as a painter, then only as a fashion designer. With that I mean that I consider the body as my canvas, fabricss and other material as my paint and the sewing machine or other tools as my brush.
The intention for me when I design is generally to create my own world or to tell a story about a subject which intrigues me. I am a cross-over designer because I do not only make use of the usual tools which are usual for a fashion designer. I seize all materials (epoxy, plastic, rubber, glass fibre) and all techniques (pour, glue, mould) to reach my designs. Thereby I automatically come in touch with fine arts. But also in the designs and the shapes, my work sometimes more or less come about as sculptural pieces and not so much as regular clothing.
