Richard Rogg was born and educated in New York and now resides with his wife and three children in Santa Monica, CA. Rogg is the founding director of Promises, one of the world's foremost treatment centers for alcohol and drug abuse.

To further his mission, he has established an educational foundation for children to develop a better understanding of problems associated with addiction. Rogg frequently donates his work to foundations and charities that strive to foster compassion, understanding and tolerance in our lives today.

As an artist, Richard Rogg explores the different realms of abstraccion by instinctively moving between painting, drawing and sculpture.

Although visually diverse in scale and materials, his artwork is distinquished by its intense layers of color and vibrant forms
