Nikki Brewster

Self taught UK Photographer & Artist. Started working as a freelance photographer in early 2009 gaining experience using a canon 400D and 18-55mm lens taking photos of her pets and local gigs as well as taking to the street learning through experience and finding a passion for capturing the everyday street scene's.

To try and improve on her skills she sent out messages to local photographers of the north east in request of becoming an assistant. She took up work with established photographer Micheal Daglish in 2011.

The first shoot she was involved on took her to the depth of Chopwell Forest, Durham. In the pouring rain she assisted with setting up lighting and moving around the area to aid in the effects of this shoot, which was to become part of a collaborative published piece.

She has dealt with Event, Commercial and Fashion as well as studio based photography, gaining skills and knowledge of setting up lighting and studio space for various types of shoots in an assistant role.

From all this collective work she has drawn inspiration and the grounding on her own abilities and talents. Undertaking her own personal projects with a more Art/Documentary based focus on her work.

She has travelled to Manchester to be part of the Beached 2012 festival line up photographing for The Little Volcanoes and Seeing Hester at the Pre-Beached 2012 as well as photographing local band Jen Stevens & the Hiccups who were seen supporting Scouting for Girls at the 2012 South Tyneside Party in the Park head lining act.

She has a flare of capturing peoples essence and showing the passion and their look through the photos she takes, as well as creating unique pieces of art work that would brighten up the dullest wall space.

Now currently taking the path to go back to University to expand her knowledge and grow in the industry she is Doing a Foundation Degree in Art & Design before Progressing onto a BA (Hons) Fine Art and specialising in and building on her artistic based photography.


Not only a photographer but and artist in her own right, developing on a daily basis.

Given the ideas and her creations being produced, she will be set for big things.
