My entire life I have been creating art, despite growing up in a very small South Dakota town I was still able to find an outlet for my creative energy. In all of my work I like to show that there are two sides to everything, both sweet and morbid. It gives people a chance to see a fusion of these polar opposites and how they can be beautiful together. As an artist I enjoy mixing the 50's style pin-up to have a modern twist. By giving my pieces a pop art vision it makes them appeal to the eye of the general public, if not to their normal tastes. Some may look at my work and consider it slightly deviant and possibly perverse, but I for one feel people are on some level intrigued by that. My work is a reflection of what I not only enjoy seeing in art, but what is also emotionally connected to me. My drive comes from creating something new and getting a physical rush from my art. Mainstream is not what I want my work to be, I want it to transcend mainstream and go beyond normal. It does not matter to me if everybody loves my art, as long as I know that I have made something edgy and honest. My Goal is to usually shock people and make them wonder what the fuck is going on in that pretty little head of mine.
