I am a versatile photographer and a relentless student of the craft. I've been shooting film and digital for almost 7 years now. I am gainfully employed, but photography is an all-consuming hobby. Because I don't need to make a living from my work, I do my larger paid projects at reduced prices. However, because I love to shoot in my free time I will consider doing exchange work to help promising models build a portfolio.

Unlike a lot of "photographers" around Lynchburg, I won't tell you that I "prefer" to shoot natural light. To the contrary, I know how to shoot with or without ambient lighting. I shoot a full frame digital camera; a Nikon D700. However, I also shoot medium format and 35mm film because, in my estimation, nothing compares to the look of film--particularly medium format film. Two of the square black and white photos you see as samples are film shots. I even develop my own black and white film for fast turn-around and quality scans.

I joined model mayhem to do more portraiture and create more work--whether that means I'm building my portfolio or yours.
