Lucus Wang is the founder and Creative Director of Purecolor Studio and 1939 Art Academy in Singapore.

In 1999, he joined Vidal Sassoon (London) and officially stepped into the world of Professional Hair Styling. Later in 2000, he moved to Vidal Sassoon (Shanghai) as a Creative Stylist in numerous television and movie productions, thus honing his craft to perfection.

In 2004, he won the 3rd Prize in the Wella International Fashion Trends Awards in China. In the same year, he set up Sunny Studio in Beijing and assumed the role of its Senior Creative Director.

Lucus branched out to Singapore in 2005, setting up Purecolor Studio and 1939 Academy in 2006 and 2007 consecutively. His passion for hairstyling and education led to numerous guest stints on television and radio programs in China and in Singapore.

Following that, Lucus was awarded 1st Runner-Up in the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Singapore 2007 competition, and also bagged the Style Trend Award.

Through Purecolor Studio, he wishes everyone to have a head of beautiful hair by educating people on hair and scalp treatment while creating flattering styles for each individual.

The 1939 Academy is set up with the aim to help spread his vision of creating a beautiful aesthetic world by sharing his knowledge and skills through Education and at the same time raise the standard and number of skilled practitioners in the local industry.
